The proposed remodel design for MMH focuses on the integration of nature to promote healing and comfort. The natural elements will be incorporated throughout the hospital with the use of plants, faux natural materials, local photography, and by mimicking the natural balance of color in nature. An equilibrium in nature is created through dark hues on the ground that gradates to lighter hues in the sky. Materials used will be repeated throughout the hospital and rehabilitation center to create a unified, cohesive transition between spaces. The use of different color schemes will define specific spaces and aid way-finding.
